(fanfic from Harry’s POV)
I would like to start by saying that, this was one of the most exceptional movie I’ve watched in Hindi in a very long time, but then again, I don’t watch much Hindi movies, so I want to stress on the letter “I” ( so no offense to other exceptional ones i didn’t know about enough to watch :P)
The effects were so well done, it transferred me into an other world and did make my mom’s heart thud louder ( so maybe it’s not meant for older audience). I must really recommend the songs as well, it is so fucking good that I still listen to it on repeat sometimes.
But there was just one thing missing that I wish was there which would have made it the masterpiece that it could have been, the depth to love.
Show me why Shiva was ready to die for Isha?
I feel personally I’ve grown out of love at first sight, isn’t it for teenagers? who don’t really understand the meaning of love?
It’s 2022 people, the person you think is attractive and I do agree you might even be attracted to at first sight, could be a serial killer or an axe murderer or a fucking psychopath (speaking from experience, I’ve made the mistake of dating a few, no regrets there, it’s called dating for a reason, it is all just learning what you like and unlearning your mistakes, I’ll go into detail in another blog).
Anyway, the point being made, the depth to the love was the missing cherry on the very beautifully made cake.
I do get the instant connection and all that, but Insta-love might not be my vibe anymore, it is a sign that I have backaches, grey hair and dept on my credit card and I’m not in a school uniform sitting with my friends talking about that cute guy in yellow bike whom I’ve never spoken to and might actually think I will marry one day.
That being said, this is just my perception out of the hundreds out there.
But for me, the music makes up for that. No kidding, I love and appreciate Kesariya in all languages possible and Deva Deva is something that has helped me in my difficult times. And the whole concept just blows my mind 🙂
Also, I have a liking for Ranbir Kapoor now, since Alia’s wedding with him and Shah Rukh Khan is a never diminishing charm to watch on the screen. Amitabh ji makes his presence felt where ever he is and goes. I would love to watch anything he does and listen to anything he says as he is a blessing to India. Alia is the best there is in Indian cinema. So the cast was amazing too.
