(fanfic)
Harry is sitting by the beach alone watching the sun set.
His parents are asleep in the beach house. If he could he would do life all over again with them, where there is no Voldemort, the pain and the fame. But that can’t happen even if you are a wizard. It had to happen the way it happened and wouldn’t have happened any other way.
He broke the elder wand long back, but to his dismay, the wizarding world still recognizes him where ever he goes. He looks at the moon and thinks maybe this is what he was made for, to make a difference.
He closes his eyes. He gets flashbacks of Ginny’s eyes which is engraved in his heart. When he falls in love, he gives himself completely. He will do absolutely anything for that person. That’s his only weakness. He pushes her thoughts to the deepest corner of his heart and thinks to himself, she has moved on and opens his eyes. He smiles but a drop of tear escapes his eyes.
He is grateful that the wizarding world understands him finally, loves him and is there for him. He is alone and not alone at the same time. It’s funny how that works.
The light of dawn breaks the sky and brings to him the journey he never wanted or asked or wished for. He looks at the light and asks God, “Am I ready for this journey? Please give me a sign.”
The sun rises in the sky and brings with it a new day and a new path that is blurry after a point.
He thinks one day at a time Harry and gets up. He goes to his room and sits on his bed with his book.
After 30 years…..
It’s a bright sunny day. Robin is reading her book on her couch. She is alone at home. She doesn’t mind it though, she enjoys the solitude. She hears something outside her window.
She opens her window and looks down. It’s Ted with a blue french horn smiling and crying looking at her. Her eyes fill up and she is smiling too.
The whole place blurs and the alarm rings.
Harry slowly opens his eyes, there are wrinkles on his face and he has a sexy salt and pepper look because he doesn’t believe in dyeing his hair, he feels growing old is a privilege. He has been getting that dream a lot these days. He wonders why and yawns. He is alone at home. He doesn’t mind it though, he enjoys the solitude.
He hears something outside his window. His heart starts racing.
He walks towards the window and opens it. He starts to cry and smiles at the same time.
THE END.
