Dear Diary.

Since we are constantly engaging with people, accidents and misunderstandings are bound to happen. It is very natural.

I feel we should never villainize someone over an accident.

Bad things happen to good people, that doesn’t make them bad. The situation was as such and it was out of their hands.

If you caused an accident and hurt someone, you should not hate yourself for doing it because it wasn’t intentional. You did not intend to cause harm it just happened because things were not in your control, so please have compassion towards yourself.

If the accident happened because of a mistake. Do not self loath because you did not see it coming. If you would have known there would be repercussions for the mistake, you wouldn’t have done it.

It doesn’t make you a bad person. Practice compassion and self love and please heal.

As for misunderstandings, I feel we should deep dive into it and understand what could have caused it and where things went wrong. We should not hurt someone over misunderstandings.

Everyone is different with different minds and they work in different ways. It is always good to clear the air instead of hurting them back.

If you hurt someone over a misunderstanding even if it wasn’t your intention to, it’s really okay to apologise if you value the relationship and try to make them understand what really happened.

We should use the words sorry, please, thank you and I love you as much as possible and we should use it often.
