Note.

I’m allowed to change my mind about a person, after I get to know their true colors and true intentions.

And take a step back.

No matter who it is,

a random stranger, boyfriend, friend, colleague etc.

You cannot bring up the past where we had few good exchanges and use words like false hopes or false promises, in such cases.

When we don’t know who that person is, everyone will be on their best behaviour.

But once we get to know the truth, we can and should disengage.

Period.
