Note.

Sometimes when I’m feeling salty and I open Instagram and see random posts or reels,

I start feeling bitter and negative thoughts pop into my mind.

At that time,

I stop and reflect.

I’m able to differentiate that the reason I’m feeling bitter has nothing to do with the innocent content creator and everything to do with my current mood.

So I close Instagram and go for a walk or listen to music or shower or clean or something to feel better.

These things happen to the best of us.

After I feel better and I see the same post again, I’m able to enjoy the content.

The people who leave negative comments are unable to process their emotions in a healthy way.

So they project their bitterness on the innocent content creator and take out their frustration that way.

And this is where it’s going wrong.

They are doing this in the comfort of their screen because people think they can say anything they want online without repercussions.

They wouldn’t dare say these things IRL though.

This is so unhealthy and they need to seek therapy.

Sometimes I project my frustrations on my parents unintentionally.

Because it would be too much for me to handle at that time and I would have a lot of things going on.

So I get frustrated when they say or do something.

But I make sure I clear the conflict later and tell them that it has nothing to do with them and I was feeling salty.
