When someone has a misunderstanding and they are speaking about that incident to people.
They should say,
“This person did this and said this. I’m not sure what exactly they meant by it but I reacted this way.”
This is so much appreciated.
__
Instead they confidently state it as a fact or confidently lie and exaggerate it in a way to make their actions justified.
This is where most people are going wrong.
__
They act on misunderstandings.
They don’t stop and clarify the misunderstandings and ask what do you mean.
Instead they act on the misunderstandings and cause intentional harm.
And when they recount the incident, they state the latter not the former.
__
Misunderstandings are seen through the lens of insecurities and assumptions.
When you act on it, you project it.
__
When you recount the incident if you are honest and say that you misunderstood someone and take responsibility for your actions, the casualties are always less.
But when you spread slander to cover up your tracks. You are fucked on top of fucked.
This is where you are going wrong.
