There is a scene where Christian is talking to Daisy.
Little context.
Christian fired a bartender because he was flirting with Daisy.
She was flirting with him to make Christian jealous and it worked and that’s why he fired him.
They weren’t exclusive back then.
They were just hooking up.
Anyway.
So on page 130.
They are speaking about that incident.
Daisy asks him why were you jealous.
Christian says, “That’s because you’re my” and he stops.
Daisy says, “I’m your what.”
He gets angsty and the scene continues.
This scene reminds me exactly of what Ginny and I were speaking about.
We were at Koramangala Social in 2022.
Back when we were dating and that day we were planning to have sex for the first time.
We weren’t exclusive.
I was asking Ginny if she gets a lot of DMs when she uploads pictures.
I was complaining about the men who DM me inappropriate things when I post revealing pictures.
She said, “men don’t really get DMs like that.”
I said, “hey but I DM you when you post pictures.”
She said, “That’s because you’re my” and stopped.
I said, “I’m your what.”
My heart started beating wildly.
She got all angsty.
When I read the exact conversation in Daisy Haites by Jessa Hastings in 2023.
I swear I started to cry because I was going through the terrible heartbreak.
