This is what started the fight.
I bought the bulb with my sister’s amazon points.
Without running it by father.
As I mentioned, this is his territory.
He doesn’t really know much about zero watt bulbs.
So when he saw it.
He got angry.
Because we don’t really have money these days to even take care of our basic expenses.
All of us are sick.
He saw the package of the bulb.
It was expensive.
So he threw it.
(The bulb wasn’t inside the package at that time.)
I said it’s only 70rs.
He started shouting and got angry.
He asked me why I bought 5 watts and not 0 watts.
I explained calmly.
That there’s no such thing as 0 watts.
It starts with 0.5, 3, 5 etc.
He said why I didn’t buy 0.5 then.
He said the bulb in the hall is also 5 watts.
I checked the watts on Amazon and explained calmly.
The bulb in the hall is 12 watts and above.
If I use 5 watts bulb for 200 hours it takes only 1 unit of electricity.
I repeated it 3 times for it to sink in.
He said, why did I spend 70rs.
When he can get it for 30rs.
I explained calmly that this is the least priced one.
Then he started saying that we don’t have money and why did I buy it during this time.
I explained that I bought it with Amazon credit points of my sister.
Also.
Because I don’t want to disturb them in the night.
This is important to me.
Because I don’t get sleep soon.
During this entire conversation he was angry and also shouting.
Mom was crying.
Mom started shouting at father because he shouted at me.
She asked him not to control me.
Like he tries to control mom.
It was a huge explosion.
I was scared to go out for my walk after dinner.
Because I was scared that my parents would start fighting again.
If I’m not present to stop them.
It will be chaos.
Mom came outside while I walked.
Mom started crying asking me not to be sad.
She started crying saying that.
She doesn’t have any freedom because she doesn’t have any money of her own.
Her entire life is gone this way.
But then.
I’m not sad because of this incident.
Because I’ve faced much worse things in life.
This wasn’t that hurtful.
And now it’s the calm after the storm.
