I saw Will Newman on Bharat Matrimony.
His picture was really hot.
So I messaged him on Facebook and he immediately replied.
We clicked instantly.
We used to speak all day long every single day.
We would be on video call all the time.
That was our thing.
He used to call me to look at me because he would miss me if he didn’t call.
The thing about connections is that.
It doesn’t happen with everyone.
And when it does.
It just clicks.
We were best friends.
We were inseparable.
We were so in love.
We were really young back then.
Both of us were in a very dark place when we found each other.
It was during Covid.
I was in Bangalore and he was in Kerala.
After sometime passed.
His parents found a girl for him without asking him.
They wanted him to get engaged.
He was upset.
He called me and started to cry.
He didn’t talk to her before the engagement because he was upset.
After he got engaged.
We didn’t know what to do.
I mean.
Do we suddenly stop texting?
We spoke but there were all these feelings that never went away.
Everything happened so fast.
I initiated “those messages” and we continued.
We stopped saying I love you.
But everything else continued.
We even “did it” a couple of times on video call.
He was supposed to get married in 2020.
But he didn’t. It got postponed.
We even “did it” on video that night.
I remember we were speaking at night one day.
His fiance called suddenly.
He said he’ll call back.
I waited.
But he didn’t.
I stayed up till 4am waiting.
He messaged and said “you stayed up? I’m sorry.”
But he didn’t speak to me because he was sleepy.
I started crying and dozed off after a while.
We kept speaking all the time.
Then one day.
He said to me, he can’t wait to get married because he is in love with her.
That’s when I realised I lost him.
I cried so much that night.
After that.
I started texting him less.
Then he got married.
I cried throughout that night.
I cried for days together.
I was heartbroken and depressed AF.
I didn’t text him after he got married.
He reached out after a month.
Asked me how I was.
We continued speaking.
It was platonic mostly.
Sometimes it wasn’t.
I don’t know what it was, tbh.
I have already spoken about everything.
