Note.

As I said multiple times before.

Everyone I speak to casually is not my friend.

I’m 35 years old.

I’ve had an extremely social life.

I’ve spoken to and texted countless people.

I’ve made plans with hundreds of people.

No.

I’m not even exaggerating.

But very few people I’ve connected with.

Very few friends.

I don’t use the word friend loosely.

I’ve already given you my definition of the word friend.

More than one truth can exist at the same time.

Because the word friend is a noun.

The definition varies from person to person.

Maybe Pettigrew calls everyone whom she speaks to casually as a friend.

I used to do the same when I was her age.

Pettigrew said to me herself.

She approaches people and just starts talking and calls them friends.

That’s not how friendship works.

It’s called friendship only when it’s mutual.

It’s not called friendship when one person is constantly forcing it.

It’s not called friendship when it’s one sided, para social and unrequited.

Just because someone is a creepy fan and desperate to be my friend.

I cannot comply.

I’m not interested.

When someone is saying a clear no and drawing a clear verbal non-verbal boundary.

You are supposed to stay away.

Just because I was regular to that restaurant.

It is not an invitation for the staff to encroach on my personal space and boundaries.

And force friendship and force conversation with me.

This is not a college party for her to approach me because I’m a familiar face.

It wasn’t written on her forehead that she’s bisexual.

When she gave me something to eat forcefully when I was hungry.

I returned the favor and asked her to join me 2-3 times when I was stepping out.

Out of courtesy.

A normal person asks 2-3 times and stops.

Unless it’s your best friend or boyfriend.

No one asks more than that.

This is called as a plan.

Not a promise.

I tried being friends.

But she wasn’t interested in being friends.

She just wanted to fuck me.

Once I understood her true colours and true intentions.

I cut her off.

I’m not signing a contract with anyone to be best friends forever.

Trying to be friends and actually being friends.

Are two different things.
